Vintage 1950s evening dresses from the V & A collection

The Victoria and Albert museum has a collection of over 1.000.000 works including ceramics, fashion, furniture, glass, metalwork, paintings, photographs, prints, sculpture and textiles. Many of these pieces are available to view online. While the collection is extensive, it is naturally the vintage and antique fashions that are of the greatest interest to me. Vintage Owen Hyde Clark Evening Dress from the V & A Collection

Owen Hyde Clark designed this lace and taffeta evening dress, which was made between 1955 and 1960. It is worn with a taffeta and tulle petticoat.
